William R. Longstaff, of the Wisconsin Veterans Home in King, formerly of Milwaukee, age 86, passed away on Wednesday, July 25, 2018. He was born in Pittsburgh, PA on October 26, 1931 to the late Clarence and Bertha (Rinscheid) Longstaff. On March 8, 1958 he married Marilyn Stark. Bill was a veteran of the Korean War, serving in the Army. He worked at Allen Bradley for 36 years, retiring in 1991. He enjoyed golfing, bowling and was an avid sports fan.
He will be sadly missed by his wife: Marilyn; sons: Dan (Cathy) Longstaff and Steve (Tina) Longstaff; grandchildren: Nicole (Ryan) Schwenkner, Eryn (Kevin) Germino, Amy (Nathan) Morrison, Jordan Longstaff and great granddaughter: Felicity; brother: Douglas (Paulette) Longstaff, sisters: Charlotte (Bill) Gross, Terry (Bob) Klebar, other relatives and friends. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a brother, David and sister, Vivian Platz.
The Memorial Service will be on Thursday, August 2, 2018 at 1 p.m. in the Olson Hall Chapel at the Wisconsin Veterans Home in King. The visitation will be on Thursday in the chapel from 12 p.m. until the time of the service. Burial will be in the Central Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Cemetery.
