Of Park Vista, The Legacy, entered heaven life on April 4, 2018 at the age 101 years, 8 months and 10 days. She was born in Poy Sippi, the daughter of the late John and Laura (Bucholtz) Sattler. On December 5, 1937, Stella married Harvey Wendt. They spent most of their 40 years of married life dairy farming in the Weyauwega area. He preceded her in death in 1978. Stella was a member of St. Peter Lutheran Church in Weyauwega. Together Stella and Harvey raised four children: Beverly (Donald) Morgan, Dale (Mary) Wendt of Weyauwega; Janice (Robert) Niemuth of Fremont; and Duane (Vickie) Wendt of Waupaca; grandchildren: Tom, Terry (Jodie), Greg and Jon Morgan, Sheila (Mike) Dorsett, Dan(Mischelle) Wendt, Brenda (Gaylord) Batten, Ryan (Jill Walters) Niemuth, Michelle Pennings, Cindy Ackermann, and Lorie (Chad) Dorn; great grandchildren: Jamie (LuAnn) Morgan, Sara (Kyle) Robbins, Crystal (Jon) Faulks, Nicole (Tony) Phillips, Jon Jacob Morgan, Alicia Dorsett, Kayla Dorsett, Nathan (fiancée, Kristen Ray Zehring), Bryan (Holly), Dustan Wendt, Matthew Stuebs, Aaron and Adam Batten, Jordan, Mckynzie and Cole Niemuth, Brady Pennings, Ryan and Evan Ackermann and Cameron and Ava Dorn; great great grandchildren: Parker Morgan-O'Conner, Mariah & Mckenna Morgan, Delaney and Annaliese Robbins, Farah and Waylon Faulks, Forrest Phillips, Tucker and Jasper Wendt, Elizabeth and Natalie, Maggie, Wyatt, Stefen, Jaxin, Rylie Kenziora and Caylyn Johnson, step grandchildren: Bobbi Jo (Jeremy Heagle), Brett (Erin) Derus, BilliJean (Jeremy) Barth, Step great grandchildren: Jordon and Casey Haase, Maria (Jonathan) Avalos, Cole, Caleb and Christian Derus, Keaton and Kobe Barth, step great great grandchildren: Adrian and Liliana Avalos.
She is further survived by sisters-in-law: Georgia Sattler and Adeline Marks, many nieces, nephews other relatives and friends. In addition to her husband she was preceded in death by a grandson, Douglas Wendt, sisters, Alice Pollack, Lyda Lind and Marjory Muscavitch, brother, John Sattler Jr., in-laws, Gilbert Pollack, Charles Lind, Frank Muscavitch, Elmer and Ardeen Wendt, Wallace and Jane Wendt, Donald and Gladys Wendt, Paul and Dorothy Flenz and Norman Marks.
Stella lived a dedicated farm life for over 60 years, but her greatest blessings were the members of her family and her many dear friends over the years.
The Funeral Service will be on Monday, April 9, 2018 at 11:30 a.m. at St. Peter Lutheran Church, 312 Main St., Weyauwega. The visitation will be on Monday at the church from 9:30 a.m. until the time of the funeral. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery in Weyauwega. The Maple Crest Funeral Home of Waupaca is assisting the family with arrangements.
Stella’s family is very grateful for the compassionate loving care shown to her by the staff at Waupaca’s Park Vista and The Legacy over the last two plus years.
O Jesus draw near to my dying bed and take me into your keeping
