Welcome to the memorial page for

Peter J. Macijeski

December 8, 1959 ~ July 11, 2017 (age 57) 57 Years Old

Peter J. Macijeski, age 57, passed away suddenly at home, from a heart attack on Tuesday, July 11, 2017.  He was born in Wild Rose, WI on December 8, 1959 to Daniel and Bertha (Lindner) Macijeski and was raised in a Catholic family resulting in his strong faith.  Pete graduated from Wild Rose High School and then furthered his education by earning a technical degree in auto body and mechanics.  On August 5, 1995, he was united in marriage to Becky Neuens and they were blessed with three children.  For the past 17 years Pete was a welder with Pierce Manufacturing in Appleton.

To say Pete lived life to its fullest, would be an understatement.  He was a man who spent life cherishing his yesterdays, dreaming of his tomorrows, and LIVING in his todays.  Pete loved to travel and always made sure his family was able to do so.  Some of their favorite memories together include cruising in the Caribbean, hiking in Arizona, and yearly trips to the MSRA Back to the 50's Car Show in Minnesota.  Pete had just finished the final arrangements for another family trip to celebrate his and Becky's 22nd wedding anniversary.  One of his biggest pleasures, whether it be at home or on vacation, was being a food connoisseur.

Pete was also an extremely talented car hobbyist.  Two weeks ago he finished his 10+year adventure in restoring his '75 Chevy Vega.  He was incredibly proud to display it at the Iola Car Show just last weekend!

Pete was loved by all who knew him.  He is sadly missed by his wife, Becky of Pine River; his children, Joshua, Kimberly and Christopher, also of Pine River; mother, Bertha Macijeski of Wild Rose; sisters and brothers:  Cindy (Paul) Hudziak of IL, James Macijeski of Neshkoro, Steven (Karin) Macijeski of Fremont, and Luanne (John) Kaltenbrun of Milwaukee.  He is further survived by mother-in-law, Lila Mutsch of Weyauwega, father-in-law, Richard (Mary Lou) Neuens of AZ; Becky's sisters and brother; Cindy (Bob) Carr of Fremont, Debby Neuens of New London, Brenda Koch of Weyauwega, and Mike Neuens of Lower MI as well as many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.  These kids will always have many memories with their uncle, the most vivid being the walks around his property that he made sure to take them on whenever they visited.

He was preceded in death by his father, Danny and father-in-law, Dick Mutsch.

The funeral service will be held at 12p.m. Saturday, July 15, 2017 at the Maple Crest Funeral Home of Waupaca.  Visitation will be held from 10a.m. until the time of service.
