Kenneth H. Rindt

July 22, 1923 ~ August 11, 2017 (age 94) 94 Years Old


Kenneth H. Rindt, age 94, of the Wisconsin Veterans Home, passed away Friday, August 11, 2017.  He was born in Prospect Hill, WI on July 22, 1923 to the late Paul and Lorena (Martin) Rindt.  On April 27, 1946 he was united in marriage to Beverly Holtz.  Ken was a WWII veteran, serving with the Navy in the Pacific Arena repairing landing craft.   After the service, Ken and brother, Harvey, operated Rindt Bros. Mobil Service, New Berlin.  Ken served as Church Council President of St. Paul's Evangelical Lutheran Church in Muskego for 2 terms. He was a volunteer fireman with the Tess Corners Volunteer Fire Department.   Ken served on the Board of Directors of Wisconsin Lutheran Child and Family Service for six years.  He had also taught auto mechanics at Muskego High School and Waukesha Technical College.  Ken owned and operated Ken Rindt Service, Muskego for over 35 years.  

               Ken is survived by his wife, Beverly, also a resident at the Wisconsin Veterans Home; children: Debra (Raymond “Rick") Stamm of Milwaukee; Jeffery (Jill) Rindt of Plymouth, MN; and Wendy Rindt Winkelmann of Waupaca; six grandchildren: Ryan (Sarah) Rindt, Tamie (Tyler) Smith, Megan (Zack) Rindt Erhmann, Paul Stamm, Lauren Rindt and Jonathan Stamm;   five great-grandchildren: Amelia and Bailey Gray and Hunter, Megan and Seeley Smith.  He is also survived by a brother, Harvey (Joan) Rindt of East Troy.

               He was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Mindie Gray.

               A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m.  Saturday, August 19, 2017 at the Main Chapel of the Wisconsin Veterans Home, with Pastor Ron Siemers officiating.  Visitation will be held from 10 a.m. until the time of the service.  Military honors will follow the memorial service. Burial of cremains will take place at a later date at St. Paul’s Lutheran Cemetery in Muskego, WI.
