Duane D. Dobbert

Of Waupaca, age 80, passed away on Monday, May 14, 2018 with his family at his side.  He was born on October 31, 1937 in the Town of Weyauwega to the late Elmer and Laura (Knobla) Dobbert.  On September 7, 1957 he married Geraldine Albright.  Duane was a member of St. Peter Lutheran Church in Weyauwega.  He worked 46 years for the Weyauwega-Fremont School District as a mechanic, bus driver and Transportation Supervisor.  He enjoyed playing cards with his brothers and friends, dartball at St. Peters,  fishing on the Wolf River and in Baudette, MN and deer hunting with his brothers and nephews.

He will be sadly missed by his wife: Geraldine; children: Douglas, Pamela (Donald) Demmith and Lorie (Doyle) Batten, grandchildren: Brandon, Joshua, Audra, Jakke, Jordan and Jared, great grandsons: Michael and Malachi, brother: Frank (Barbara) Dobbert, sister: Judy Schumann, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.  In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by siblings, Virginia (Harland) Wall, Kenneth (Evelyn) Dobbert, Harley Dobbert, Butch Dobbert, Allan (Romona) Dobbert and Carol (Bud) Ebeltoft.

The Funeral Service will be on Monday, May 21, 2018 at 11:30 a.m. at St. Peter Lutheran Church in Weyauwega.  The visitation will be on Monday at the church from 10 a.m. until the time of the service.  Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery in Weyauwega. In lieu of flowers memorials are appreciated to St. Peter Lutheran Church. The family would like to thank the staff of Crossroads Care Center for all their care.
