Chris W. Gaertner

Chris William Gaertner, of Waupaca, passed away April 16, 2024. He was the son of Alton and Janet (Christensen) Gaertner. Chris worked as an accountant at Riverside Paper for 34 years. He was a Vietnam Veteran and was able to do the honor flight. He enjoyed woodworking, bird watching, bowling, golfing and watching sports, and doing puzzles. He had a great love for Missy (Smoky), watching his grandsons grow up, and always worrying about everyone. He loved lobster as well as traveling to Hawaii and Jamaica.  He was married to Mary Endter for over 51 years.

Chris is survived by his wife, Mary; son, Brad (Rhonda) daughter; Shelly; grandsons, Logan and Dylan (Hannah); his furry friends, Missy (Smoky), Simba and Roxy.

He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Holly Jury; and nephew Collin Jury. 

The family would like to thank Gold Cross Ambulance and Waupaca Sheriff’s Department for their compassionate care towards the family.
