William "Bill" A. SeefeltSeptember 16, 1946 ~ June 27, 2017 (age 70)
William A. Seefelt, age 70, passed away at the Wisconsin Veterans Home of King, WI on Tuesday, June 27, 2017 after a long battle with Lewy Body Dementia. He was born in Stevens Point, WI on September 16, 1946 to Alfred and Irene (Bearndt) Seefelt. Bill attended P.J. Jacobs High School, graduating in 1964. After graduation, he enlisted in the Army and served in Germany and Vietnam. In 1969, he married Patricia Nelson in Milwaukee. He then attended UW-Milwaukee, graduating in 1972. Bill became an insurance fraud investigator. He was active in the Boy Scouts, VFW, DAV, and the We Care Fishing Club. Bill enjoyed hunting, fishing and socializing. He had an unusual sense of humor, keeping everyone wondering.
He is survived by his wife, Patricia of Saxeville; son, William Christopher “Chris” of Steamboat Springs, CO; mother, Irene Seefelt of King; sister, Joanne Murn of Muskego; brother, Fred Seefelt of Stevens Point; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Gary and Joanne Nelson of Wild Rose; nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends. Bill was preceded in death by his father, Alfred Seefelt.
A memorial service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday, July 7, 2017 at the Main Chapel of the Wisconsin Veterans Home in King, with Chaplain Wayne Schwanke officiating. Visitation will be held from 9:30 a.m. until the time of the service. Military honors will follow the service and burial of cremains will take place at Central Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Cemetery.
The family extends a special thank you to the care givers on 5th floor of Stordock Hall, the “adopted family” they made while Bill was a resident for the past two years, as well as Heartland Hospice.
