William D. VanDerslice

William D. VanDerslice passed away peacefully at his home on September 30, 2015 in Waupaca WI.
Bill was born September 20, 1925 and leaves behind his beloved wife Carol of 69 years, son John (Barbara) and daughters Christine (John), Margaret (Ray), and  Katherine (Guy), nine grandchildren, five great children, one brother Tom (Genevieve), and one sister Ruth (Art).
Bill retired to the Scandinavia/Waupaca area in 1988. He had a passion for reading, enjoying nature, a good Packer game, and fine music. Bill will be remembered for his sense of humor, and his ability to strike up a conversation with everyone. Always ready with a smile, a hug, friendly banter, and great advice, he will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
The family is grateful for the care Bill received at Riverside Hospital, ThedaCare Clinic in Waupaca, and the compassionate help from his ThedaCare Hospice Team. In lieu of flowers, please remember Bill’s love of reading with a donation to the Waupaca Area Public Library.  A private celebration of Bill’s life will be held by the family.
