Theodore J. Shelbrack

               Theodore J. Shelbrack, age 85, of the Wisconsin Veterans Home in King, WI, passed away Saturday, November 26, 2016.  He was born in Rhinelander, WI on July 15, 1931 to the late Theodore and Isabel (Strike) Shelbrack.  He served with the U.S. Navy during the Korean Conflict.  Theodore was an entrepreneur at heart, owning and operating two motels, a grocery store and a floral shop.  He was extremely creative, enjoyed woodworking, coin collecting and was an accomplished oil painter.

               He is survived by three sons: Wayne (Annette) of Simsbury, CT, Eric (Kathie) of Green Bay, WI, and Jay (Barb) of Briarwood, NY; daughter-in-law, Cheryl; grandchildren: Rachel, Michelle, James, Aaron, Ryan, Stephanie, Tracy, Carmen, and Candice; great-grandchildren: Christian, Mackenzie, Hailey, and Benjamin; and two sisters, Alice Polansky and Betty Grundy.  Theodore was preceded in death by a son, Mark and two sisters, Joyce and Mary.

               A memorial service will be held at 9 a.m. Friday, December 2, 2016 at the Olson Hall Chapel at the Wisconsin Veterans Home in King.  The visitation will be held from 8:30 a.m. until the time of the service.  Burial and military honors will take place at the Central Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Cemetery.
