Susan M. (Suhs) Nicewander

Of Waupaca, age 62, passed away at home with family on Thursday, November 24, 2016.  She was born in Waupaca on December 18, 1953 to Lyle and Esther (Zempel) Suhs. On July 11, 1981 she married William “Bill” Nicewander; he preceded her in death in 2012. Susan worked for Waupaca Elevator for over 35 years and was Vice President of Sales.  Susan touched the hearts of everybody that passed through her life, always there with a helping hand. Suzie had many amazing talents, she enjoyed knitting, crocheting, spoiling the cats and was also a wonderful seamstress, who loved to use those talents to bless others with her gifts. 

She will be sadly missed by her son: Jonathan of Waupaca; mother: Esther of Waupaca, step-sons: Jarrod, Jeff, Jason and Joel Nicewander; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.  In addition to her husband she was preceded in death by her father, Lyle.

The Funeral Service will be on Tuesday, November 29, 2016 at 11 a.m. at the Maple Crest Funeral Home of Waupaca.  The visitation will be on Monday at the funeral home from 4 until 7 p.m. and again on Tuesday from 10 a.m. until the time of the funeral.  Burial will be in Crystal Lake Cemetery.  The family asks that you not send flowers instead they would like memorials to help with cancer research, memorials will be donated to the UW Madison Carbone Cancer Center for Leukemia Research.
