Sharon "Shari" A. (Zuidema) Parkhurst

            Sharon “Shari” A. Parkhurst, age 76, of the Town of Belmont, passed away peacefully on Thursday, September 7, 2017.  She was born in Lansing, MI on October 7, 1940, the daughter of John and Helen (Johnson) Zuidema.  Shortly after graduation, she married her high school sweetheart, Roger Parkhurst, on September 26, 1959.  They were blessed with three children.  For 20+ years, she worked as a case aid for Racine Human Services.  Shari was an animal lover and had a passion for riding horses.  She also enjoyed reading and was a gifted artist.  Shari was a genuinely kind-hearted person who always saw the best in everyone.

            She will be deeply missed by her husband, Roger; children: Scott (Dawn White) of Racine, Steven (Kelley) of OH, and Cindy (Gary) Hyatt of Racine; eight grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; a brother, Jim (Nancy) Zuidema of WA; as well as nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

            A brother, Ron, preceded her in death.

            A Celebration of Life is being planned and will be held at a future date.
