Robert "Bob" Bernard Leinweber

               Age 86, of Wautoma, passed away peacefully Tuesday, April 21, 2015 at the Wisconsin Veterans Home in King.  He was born October 19, 1928 in Kenosha, WI to the late Elmer and Josephine (Lane) Leinweber.  On February 14, 1953 he was united in marriage to Annabelle Ridley.  While in high school, he joined the ROTC and upon graduation, entered the U.S. Army.  He served in Germany during the Korean War.

               Bob adored his wife and loved his family – calling his children his little “goombas”.  He was a generous and personable man, with a wonderful sense of humor, which served him well in his broadcasting career in Montana.  He enjoyed music, singing, dancing (the jitterbug), flying and airplanes.  Bob and Ann owned and operated the Trading Post in Mt. Morris for many years.  He will be dearly missed by all.

               He is survived by his wife, Ann of Wautoma; children: Karen (Ron) Rigby of Utah; Colleen (Jesse) Martinez of New Mexico; Robert (Ann) Leinweber, Jr. of Illinois; Nancy (Steve) Kunkler of Idaho; Mary Leinweber of Green Bay; and Jeanette (Mike) McGrath of California.  Bob is also survived by a sister, Kathleen (Don) Glade of Kenosha; 13 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.  He was preceded in death by an infant sister, Marlene; sister, Dolores; and brother, Elmer.

               The funeral Mass will be held Friday, April 24, 2015 at 1:30 p.m. at the Main Chapel of the Wisconsin Veterans Home in King, with Fr. Ted Lewandowski officiating.  Visitation will be from 12:30 p.m. until the time of the service.  Burial and military honors will follow at the Central Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Cemetery.
