Robert A. Shipley

Robert A. Shipley,

                Age 63, of the Wisconsin Veterans Home, passed away Monday, September 21, 2015.  He was born in Illinois on July 17, 1952, the son of James and Edith (Hall) Shipley.  He served with the U.S. Navy during peace time. 

                Robert is survived by his mother, Edith (Kevin) Smith of Texas; a daughter, Bobbie Jo Torgrimsen of Madison; grandchildren: Lyle, Nikita and Martin; brothers and sisters: Ruth Vermeersch of Red Granite, Sue (William) Herfel of Portage, Mike Shipley of Michigan, Debbie (Wayne) Wendricks of Krakow, and LeRoy (Penny) Shipley of Oshkosh.  He is further survived by numerous nieces and nephews.  Robert was preceded in death by his father and two brothers, Dave and James.

                A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, September 25, 2015 at the Olson Hall Chapel at the Wisconsin Veterans Home in King, with Chaplain Rich Engle officiating.  Visitation will be held from 12 p.m. until the time of the service.  Burial and full military honors will take place following the service, at the Central Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Cemetery in King.
