Loraine I. (Hass) Fritz

   Loraine Ida (Hass) Fritz, was welcomed into the loving arms of her Lord and Savior on Tuesday, March 21st at ThedaCare Medical Center in Waupaca, Wisconsin.  Loraine was born at home on February 2, 1943 in the township of Royalton to Alfred and Adeline (Walbruck) Hass.  She became a child of God through the Sacrament of Holy Baptism on March 21, 1943 at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Manawa, Wisconsin where she also attended grade school.  She was confirmed there into her Lutheran Faith on the 14th of April, 1957.  She graduated from Little Wolf High School in the year 1961.  She married the love of her life, Robert Russell Fritz, on June 13, 1964.  She and Robert made their home in New London where they were blessed with three children.   Loraine was a longtime member of Emanuel Lutheran Church.  She worked as a Proofreader at the Buyer's Guide/Reminder in New London for many years. She also worked at the Wolf River Credit Union as a bank teller until the time of her retirement in 2005.  Loraine liked to scrapbook and was an avid collector of pins and brooches.  Her greatest joy was spending time with her grandchildren.

   Loraine is survived by her husband of 52 years, Robert, New London, her children: Julie (Glen) Besaw, Manawa, Lisa (Andrew) LaLuzerne, Neenah, and Jeffrey, Little Chute, her granddaughters, Kaitlyn Fritz, Brittany and Stephanie Besaw, and Isabelle LaLuzerne.  She is further survived by her brother John Hass, brother-in-law Roger (Lois) Kitzman, brother-in-law Raymond (Ingaborg) Fritz, sister-in-law Maxine Lathrop, as well as aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.

   She was preceded in death by her mother and father, her sister, Angeline Kitzman, three infant brothers, her Goddaughter Shelly Johnson, her mother-in-law Dorothy Fritz, father-in-law, Arthur Fritz, in-laws Judy Hass, Donald and Lucille Fritz, Helen and John Jungwirth, Burton Lathrop, and longtime friend, Marion Guenther.

    Special thanks to her family doctor, Dr. Donn Fuhrmann, her favorite surgeon, Dr. David Duppler, Sarah Blum, RN, the staff of ThedaCare Hospice, the staff at ThedaCare Medical Center-Waupaca, and the employees at Jernegan’s Health Mart.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Emanuel Lutheran Church, New London and ThedaCare Home Hospice.

    The memorial service will be held on Monday, March 27, 2017 at 11 a.m. at Emanuel Lutheran Church, New London, with Pastor Marcus Schulz officiating.  Visitation will be held from 9 a.m. until the time of service.
