Jeanne K. (Schmid) Hotchkiss

               Jeanne K. Hotchkiss, age 67, of Wild Rose, passed away Friday, February 24, 2017, at home, surrounded by her family.  She was born in Beaver Dam on July 17, 1949 to the late Emil and Delores (Graff) Schmid.  Jeanne enjoyed the outdoors – camping, fishing and gardening.  She was a great cook and enjoyed hosting the holidays (especially Easter) for her family.  Jeanne and her husband Richard spent the winters on the gulf coast in Mississippi, and unfortunately their time was cut short this year due to her complications with ALS.

               She will be dearly missed by her husband, Richard; children: Aimee Elandt (special friend Allan Sosnoski) of Appleton, Robert (Annilee) Helbing of Hawaii and Thomas (Lisa) Helbing of Oshkosh; grandchildren: Lexie Elandt, Miles Pietsch and Julian Helbing; brother, Steven (Cheryl) Schmid of Beaver Dam and two sisters, Leanne (Rob) Pfaffenroth of Appleton and Darlene (David) Hanke of North Fond du Lac.

               A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, February 28, 2017 at 11:30 a.m. at Shepherd of the Lakes Church in Waupaca, with Pastor Mary Bope officiating.  Visitation will be held from 10 a.m. until the time of the service.   In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund is being established in Jeanne’s name.
