Irene J. (Weber) Guerin

Irene Guerin,

               Of Waupaca, age 87, went home to her Lord and Savior, on Friday, October 30, 2015, at her home, with family by her side.  She was born in Dayton, Ohio on July 8, 1928 to the late John and Theresa (Holthaus) Weber.  At age 20 she met the love of her life, Frank Guerin, and they were married August 25, 1951.  They celebrated 61 years of marriage together before his passing on August 29, 2012.  Together they raised three sons and started Guerin’s Recreation Center.  Her greatest joys in life were family, especially her granddaughters, bible study, baking and gardening.

               She will be dearly missed by her sons: David of Tulsa, Oklahoma, Jim (Ann) of Hobart, and John of Oconto Falls; granddaughters: Brianna (Andrew) Allen of Minneapolis, MN and Linnea (fiance, Kelly Banks) Guerin of Madison; and a sister-in-law, Madeline Scanlon of Washington; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.  In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Elmer A. and John Weber.

               The funeral service will be on Monday, November 9, 2015 at 5 p.m. at Calvary Chapel, 615 W. Union Street, Waupaca, with Pastor Dave Goyke officiating.  The visitation and celebration of life will be on Monday at the church from 3 p.m. until the time of the service.  The Maple Crest Funeral Home assisted the family with arrangements.  www.maplecrestfuneralhome.com
