Fred A. Reckrey

Of Waupaca, age 77, passed away on Monday, March 16, 2015 at home. He was born in Chicago, IL on March 26, 1937 to the late Harold and Esther (Lindberg) Reckrey. On December 2, 1972 he married Patricia Walsh. Fred served in the US Army. He was a Civil Engineer, farmer and EMT. He owned a bicycle repair shop. Fred was town clerk for the Town of St. Lawrence for 29 years. He was on the St. Lawrence Fire Department and also served as a first responder. Fred was a woodworking craftsman and shared his work with many people.
He is survived by his wife: Patricia; children, Richard Reckrey, Roger Reckrey, Dr. Jenny (Reed Black) Reckrey and Daniel (Lorie) Reckrey; grandchildren: Christopher Reckrey, Melody Taggert and Damian Reckrey Black. He is further survived by other relatives and many good friends, who admire this strong and gentle man
The Memorial Service will be on Saturday, March 21, 2015, the first full day of Spring, at 3:30 p.m. at the Maple Crest Funeral Home. Friends and family may gather on Saturday at the funeral home from 2 p.m. until the time of the service.
