Florence (Walsh) Rodney

Of Fremont, age 98, passed away on Tuesday, February 20, 2018 at Crossroads Care Center of Waupaca.  She was born in Chicago, IL on February 12, 1920 to the late William and Bessie (Goldman) Walsh.  Florence was employed by Paramount Studios for 15 years. She saw many movie stars visit the Chicago office. She was married to Walter Gafkee in 1947. Her second marriage was to James Rodney in Wisconsin. Upon retirement from Paramount Studios Flo became a homemaker. She had a great love for horses and dogs, particularly standard poodles.

She leaves behind her beloved brother: Edward Walsh of FL; many nieces and nephews and dear friends: Gerald and Ingrid Martel.  In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her sister, Adele Davis.

We celebrate her life and not mourn her passing on Monday, March 12, 2018 from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. at the Maple Crest Funeral Home of Waupaca.
