DiAnne L. (Olson) Smith

Of Waupaca, age 82, passed away on Thursday, December 14, 2017 at Rosemore Village.  She was born in Waupaca on December 10, 1935 to the late Leif and Irma (Schoenike) Olson.  In January of 1965 she married David Smith.  DiAnne enjoyed quilting, canning, cooking and especially spending time with her grandchildren.  She was a supervisor at Zwickers Knitting Mill and was a founding member of what is now Community First Credit Union. DiAnne also was a hospice volunteer for 10 years.

She will be sadly missed by her husband: David; children: Audy (Vicki) Olsen of VA; Audrey (Bruce Adams) Olsen-Adams, Annette (Tom) McPeak, Angie (Mike) Wanty and Yvonne Smith all of Waupaca; 14 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren; sisters: Darlene (Tom) Mohr of Manitowoc; Denise Montgomery of MN; other relatives and friends.  In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by brothers, Dane and Dale Olson.

The Funeral Service will be on Thursday, December 21, 2017 at 11 a.m. at the Maple Crest Funeral Home of Waupaca.  The visitation will be on Thursday from 9:30 a.m. until the time of the service.  Burial will be in Lakeside Memorial Park.
