Christine L. (Heuer) Driscoll

            Christine L. Driscoll, age 80, of Waupaca, passed away Thursday, December 28, 2017 at Theda Care Regional Medical Center in Neenah.  She was born in Neenah on October 15, 1937 to the late Alfred and Mildred (Stroebe) Heuer.  She was a graduate of Appleton West High School, class of 1955, and went on to receive her BS degree in education from the Wisconsin State College of Oshkosh.  While in college, she belonged to the Delta Phi Sorority.  On December 7, 1968 she was united in marriage to Lee Driscoll at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Neenah.  Christine taught school in Neenah and Hortonville, then retired to raise her family.  She later returned to work in registration at Nicolet Clinic, Neenah, and eventually Waupaca, where she retired from.  Christine loved to spend time with her grandchildren, gardening, flowers, genealogy projects (tracing her family trees), doing taxes for the elderly, computer classes (especially Photoshop), taking bus trips and working with hospice patients. 

            She will be dearly missed by her husband of 49 years, Lee; children: Scott (Brenda) Van Dinter of Waupaca, Bradley (Michelle) Van Dinter of Appleton and Michael Van Dinter of Weyauwega; son-in-law, Steve Dimmitt of CA; grandchildren: Andrew (Randi) Van Dinter, Jenniece Van Dinter, Nathan Van Dinter, Hayley Mentz, Levi (Rachel) Mentz, Skylar Mentz, Cathy (Jerry) St. John, Michelle (Ed) Wolfe, Julie (Matt) Green, Loren (Jessica) Driscoll and David Driscoll; great-grandchildren: Harlan Rae Hennager, Scarlett Hoey, Jaxstin Mentz, Charlee Mentz and Avery Mentz.  Christine is also survived by a sister: Micki (Richard) Kickland of Kaukauna; sisters-in-law: Susan Heuer of Appleton and Lynn (John) Christopher of Kaukauna; brother-in-law: Daniel Driscoll of Neenah; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

            In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by daughter, Deborah Dimmitt, brother, Thomas Heuer, and sister-in-law, Marilyn Driscoll.

            The memorial service will be held at 3 p.m. on Wednesday, January 10, 2018 at the Maple Crest Funeral Home, with Chaplain Rich Engle officiating.  Visitation will be held from 1 p.m. until the time of the service.
