Carol Mae (Freimund) Roerdink

December 20, 1924 ~ February 5, 2017 (age 92) 92 Years Old

Carol Mae Roerdink, age 92, passed on to eternal life on February 5, 2017. She grew up in Sheboygan, Wisconsin and married Robert Roerdink, the love of her life. They were married for 65 years before Robert's passing in 2013. They had two children: Robert Roerdink Jr. (Connie), and Nancy Krause (Steve).

They lived in Sheboygan for most of their married life. They were devout Christians who were very active in Fountain Park Methodist Church. Carol was active in the Sheboygan Christian Women's Club, and Bible study groups and women's circles. Later in life they moved to Neenah and joined Faith United Methodist Church. They enjoyed the Seniors of Faith group and their many church friends. They spent their final years at the Veterans Home in King.

Throughout her life Carol enjoyed painting ceramics, sewing, knitting, cake decorating, flower arranging, making cookies and bars, and playing the piano. She was an exceptional hostess who made everyone feel welcome and special. But her biggest joy was children, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

She will be dearly missed by her son Robert Roerdink, Jr. (Connie), and daughter Nancy Krause (Steve); grandchildren Robert Roerdink III (Angel), Lee Ann French (Matt), Katie Krause (Kevin), and Brian Krause (Megan); great grandchildren Anthony Lloyd, Riggens Roerdink, Austin French, Mason French, Owen Makey, Audrey Makey, and Jack Krause.

She is preceded in death by her parents, all of her siblings, her grandson David Krause, nieces and nephews, and numerous church friends.

The funeral will be on Thursday, February 9, in the Main Chapel at King Veterans Home at 2:00 with Chaplain Rich Engle officiating. Visitation will be from 1:00 until the time of services. In lieu of flowers, donations can be sent to Faith United Methodist Church, 1025 Tullar Road, Neenah, Wisconsin. 54956.

The family thanks the staff and members of the Veterans Home for their care and kindness to Carol.
